Neon Lights

As cold as it might be in NYC right now, there's just nothing as beautiful as seeing the snow fall as the lights of the city reflect off the snowflakes. At this point we are all dreading another day of winter but really, I am loving every minute of it. If only for a couple weeks, this is the only time of year that the city slows down enough to really be able to appreciate it.

This time of year, like the weather, is always that grey area of trying to decide which way to swing your wardrobe. I never seem to want to give up my heavier plaids, tartans, and flannels towards the end of winter and always find some way of working them into my transitioning seasonal looks. My rule: If there's snow on the ground, I can keep the flannels and tartan patterns on my back! Always one to go for more of a casual look, nothing beats pairing a great blazer with some vintage inspired kicks.

A fancy shoe might land you a hot date but a cool sneaker will keep you from landing on your ass while trekking in the snow!
