Spring Sprung, Collar Popped

 While the weather in NYC may still be all over the place, New Yorkers can't help but get up and get out to enjoy this warm-ish daytime weather. With the sun peeking in and out between the spring-time showers and clouds I managed to take a quick break from work to stroll through the city with an iced coffee in hand but of course caught without an umbrella. With the changing seasons comes an even better transition of new days ahead and an opportunity to not only swap out your winter for spring wardrobe but also a new state of mind. I always use the time right before Summer to refocus my life, along with my wardrobe, and really figure out what I'm looking for, wanting, and hoping to achieve before the end of year. Spring cleaning across the board... time to clean up and clear out! Re-evaluating your life, like your wardrobe, should be done in order to grow and build in the months to come. Keep the things/people you really need, value, and see a future with and the rest just bag up and drop off. Nothing more refreshing than losing the dead wait and make room for the new things/people that will help style your life. 

One of my favorite spring time combos is the popped collar polo and a good lightweight v-neck sweater. This J. Crew Cashmere and Lacoste polo combo are perfect for those easy, mid-week strolls through the park. New York truly has four complete seasons so while it is most like in the mid eighties where you are reading this, there is still a light chill sweeping in and out of NYC. I always carry a good sweater with me when I make it out. If I get too warm, it makes for a good wrap around the waist as I'm sure you've seen in previousposts. The Louis Vuittonside-buckle kicks I'm wearing are my go-tos to dress up any casual look. They slip and off with ease just in case I feel the urge to walk barefoot through the grass... just watch where you step!
