Just a couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to travel with ASEAN - Association of Southeast Asian Nations - for their celebration of unifying fifty years ago! The countries included in this union are Brunei, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Lao, Myanmar, Philippines, and Vietnam. By unifying, these countries are not only helping to promote travel throughout the region, but they are also propelling economic growth, social progress, and regional peace.
During my ten days of travel I got to experience Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia and everything each unique country has to offer. Each was so completely different and gave me a great perspective of influence, history, culture, and how each society is living and has been growing into who they are today. Our first stop... Lombok, Indonesia!
