This summer I signed on for a short 10-week stint at J. Crew to work in men's non-apparels... accessories, footwear, and loungewear. While it has definitely been a dream come true to work in such an amazing atmosphere with such influential people in the retail world, I have definitely seen some gradual changes in my style. More and more of my closet has been taken over by chambray shirts, pants, and even shoes! I'm not saying this is a bad thing at all! I'm all about it, and hopefully for this posts sake, you are too!
While the weather in NYC has been sweltering in the high 90's, there's nothing better than a great pair of lightweight chambray slacks to alleviate the heat. These guys were an impulse buy while shopping for some basics at H&M and I didn't even realize just how great they were until multiple people started asking where they were from and if they were chambray. Of course I had to pair them with a favorite summer purchase, a Michael Bastian x Uniqlo polo... the perfect shirt for summer that fits perfectly into your daily wardrobe.
Now all I need is an ice cream cone [with sprinkles of course] from an NYC favorite, Mister Softee, and I'll be set to beat the heat!
