Recently the good people of Volkswagen invited me to Middleburg, Virginia [just about 30 minutes outside of D.C.] to the beautiful Salamander Resort and Spa to test drive two of the latest from their fleet releasing this fall... the 2015 E-Golf and the 2015 Jetta.
Day one was spent wondering around the sprawling grounds of the resort and settling into our super comfortable rooms - fireplace and all - before we headed down to the lobby bar and patio for some evening cocktails, minglings, bites, and bonfire-side s'mores. The super sleek cars were parked on site to help us get comfortable behind the wheel and to give us a glimpse of what we would be waking up for the next day. After a few too many glasses of wine, I made my way back up to my room to light a fire, run a bath, and rest up before our super early morning of test driving through the backroads of rural Virginia.
