#WheredSaulGo: My Ford Roadtrip

I can not believe Summer is already half way over! At the beginning of each season, I love creating a short bucket list of activities I have to do... there's always key things that I repeat every season but for Summer, it's all about the roadtrip!

As I mentioned before Ford graciously gave us this red hot Ford Fusion SE to take for the weekend on our very own #FordRoadtrip - so after a couple hours of sitting through traffic of New Yorkers escaping the city, we made our way out to Long Island to experience everything great this small stretch of island has to offer and made sure to photo document the entire ride!
Long Island is one of the Summer staples for New Yorkers - there's just about everything out there that a Summer destination needs. As soon as we made our way onto the island, we headed Northeast to what is called the "North Fork" [for obvious reasons - the far East part of Long Island looks like two fork prongs] for a quick access to some less busy beaches just in time to catch the beautiful sunset.
As you can see, the colors that lit up the sky over the bay as the sun set was more than worth the hours of traffic! Our motel was a bit Batesy [ya know - as in the Bates Motel] which was hella spooky but just made the trip a bit more interesting. After checking in, we parked our Ford Fusion SE for the night and walked a trail to a nearby pub for some dinner and a couple [read many] nightcaps.

The next morning was an early one since we wanted to get lots accomplished. The first on the list - the local wineries that surround the town of Mattituck where we were staying. If you're of age, this is a requirement of visiting Long Island. There are endless fields of beautiful vineyards that you can taste some incredible wines and wonder through the vines of as well as some delicious oysters. We could have easily spent our entire day there but we wanted to make our way to the Hamptons of a half day at the beach. Not sure if you can tell how excited I was for the beach up above - the cartwheel is the universal sign for excited!
In all, I could not have asked for a better weekend. It flew by so and all I wanted is for it to last forever! Our #FordRoadtrip checked off one of many of our Summer bucket list adventures and the memories we made in our Ford Fusion SE traveling throughout Long Island will last forever. Big thank you to Ford for our sweet ride and, of course, thank you all for coming along for the ride!
